- NIGHT CURFEW will be promulgated under Section 144 Cr.P.C w.e.f 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily in East Khasi Hills District. There shall be a total ban on movement during this time. Opening of shops and other economic activities (both essential and non-essential) are permitted upto 6 days a week. They shall close by 7:30 PM sharp.
- Restaurants, cafes, teashops, bars, takeaway services, saloons/beauty parlours and gymnasiums shall close by 8:00 PM.
- Dine-in establishments, public parks, tourist spots and shops which have received permission from this office/ concerned SDO (C) may open on Sundays as per the conditions already issued Hostels for College Students are allowed to open subject to strict compliance to the SOP issued by the Education Department vide No. EDN.48/2020/Pt/172 dated 23rd September, 2021 and may submit an application to this office for necessary permission.
