    • The Ministry of Finance, vide an order imposes a Special Commodity Levy with respect to the importation of Birds Eggs etc. at the rate of Rs. 1300 per kg and waived off the balance amount after collecting Rs. 200 per kg from the applicable Special Commodity on importation of Frozen Whole Egg Liquid, classified under the HS Code of 0408.99.3.     – Notification on operating instructions on ‘Incentive Scheme for the Direct Issuance Window for SLDBs’ (dated- 23.03.2023) – Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

    • The Central Bank of Sri Lanka vide a notification introduced a Direct Issuance Window for SLDBs with the objective of further encouraging investments in Sri Lanka Development Bonds. In this connection, an incentive scheme has also been introduced where promotion and/ or handling fees equivalent to 0.5 per cent (50 basis points) on the SLDB investment brought in through the DIW shall be provided as an incentive to Arrangers of investments through Designated Agents (DAs) in Sri Lankan Rupees.
