- In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 25 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, called as the Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2023. The amendment is related to the revision of emission standard of particulate matter for industrial boilers. They shall come into force on expiry of period of two years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, refer attachment for further details.
