- The Ministry of Mass Media, vide a notification amended the Regulations No. 1 of 2023 issued under the Public Performances Act No. 7 of 1912, vide Extraordinary Gazette No. 2344/40 dated 11th August 2023. As per the notification, the amendment substitutes each indication as “Public Performances Ordinance No. 7 of 1912” for “Public Performance Act, No. 07 of 1912” and “Public Performances Ordinance” for Public Performance Act. Furthermore, it amended the licensing fee for public exhibition of foreign films (inclusive of the trailer) to Rupees 30,000.00 with effect from 1st December 2023.
