- The Ministry of Finance vide an order waived-off the balance amount after collecting Rs.1 per kg from the applicable Special Commodity Levy of Rs.65 per kg on the importation of rice under HS code 1006.30.29. The waiver applies to importers who have an import control license from the Controller General, Department of Imports and Exports Control, and such importation should be made with the date of Bill of Lading (BL) or Air Way Bill (AWB) on or after effective date of order. This order will be valid from 2nd January, 2024 to 21st January, 2024. Please refer the order for more details.
