Amendment notification under Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 – Govt. of Tamil Nadu

  • (1)In rule 86, for the expression “column (3) of Form No. 12”, the expression “column (6) of Form No. 12” shall be substituted,
  • (2) In rule 88, in sub-rule (2), for the expression “fifteen paise”, the expression “five rupees” shall be substituted -substituted– if worker loses the leave book, can obtain a duplicate upon payment of Rs. 5/-
  • If the following registers maintained under the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, need not be maintained registers under various allied Rules.
  • Form 12 – Register of Adult workers and Young persons (Rules 80 & 86)
  • Form 15 – Register of Leave with Wages (Rules 87 & 88)
  • Form 25 – Muster roll and Register of compensatory holidays ( Rules 77 (4) and 103)
  • If maintained the aforesaid registers, deemed as maintained registers under the following Rules
    1. The Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975 – Form XXVI, XXVII & XXIX
    2. The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Tamil Nadu) Rules, 1983 – Form XIII, XVII, XVIII, XIX,  XX, XXI & XXII
    3. The Tamil Nadu Payment of Wages Rules, 1937 – Form I & II.
    4. The Minimum Wages (Tamil Nadu) Rules, 1953 – Form I, II, IV, V & XI
    5. The Tamil Nadu Maternity Benefit Rules, 1967 – Form A
    6. The Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (National, Festival and Special Holidays) Rules, 1959 – Form VI
    7. The Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Rules, 1981 – Form I
    8. The Tamil Nadu Payment of Subsistence Allowance Rules, 1981 – Form I
    9. The Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund Rules, 1973 – Form B.
  • For Form No. 12, Form No. 15 and Form No. 25, the following Forms shall respectively, be substituted.
