Amendment under the Tamil Nadu Manual workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Rules, 1986 (Notification dated – 24.05.2021) – Govt. of Tamil Nadu

• In the said Rules,-
• In rule 3 in clause (b),-
  • For the expression “Joint Commissioner of Labour”, the expression “Additional Commissioner of Labour”, shall be substituted;
  • For the expression “Deputy Commissioner of Labour”, the expression “Joint Commissioner of Labour”, shall be substituted;
• In rule 18,-
  • In sub-rule (1), for the expression “Deputy Commissioner of Labour”, the expression “Joint Commissioner of Labour”, shall be substituted;
  • In sub-rule (2), for the expression “Labour Officer or Inspector of Plantation” the expression “Assistant Commissioner of Labour or Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Plantation)”, shall be substituted.
