- The Securities and Exchange Board of India issued a circular requiring Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) to hold the securities of holding companies (Hold Cos) and special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in the dematerialized form. Further, the Manager of the REIT is directed to dematerialize the securities of Hold Cos and SPVs of the REIT on or before 30th June 2023. Please refer to the circular for more details.
