- ESIC directed to inform you that in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, as a preparatory initiative to reduce the crowding and exposure of patients by frequent visits in hospital OPDs, Specialist of all ESIC/ESIC hospitals are advised to prescribe medicines to patients suffering from chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension coronary artery disease, arthritis etc. for three months.
- The dispensaries may also be directed to issue the medicines on a monthly basis to such patients and avoid unnecessary referrals to the hospitals, refer attachment for further details.
