Direction under Section 16(5) of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 regarding extension of facility of Provisional NOC to registered Authorised Economic Operators (AEOs) (dated-18.10.2022)-FSSAI.

  • To further facilitate trade and ease of doing business reforms, it has been decided that for the food consignments imported by FBOs having Authorised Economic Operators(AEOs)certification from customs, the FBO shall declare and submit the undertaking/declaration in the forms as annexed to concerned authorised officers And authorised officers are directed to carry out visual inspection and up on satisfactory visual inspection, shall draw samples and issue Provisional No Objection (P-NOC) without waiting for the analysis report from the laboratory. On receipt of the analysis report from the laboratory, the authorised officer shall issue the final objection certificate, if product conforms the FSSAI standards, refer attachment for further details.
