- All Food Safety Commissioners of States/UTs are hereby directed to ensure the implementation/compliance of the Guidelines for investigating and managing food borne illness outbreaks in India in accordance with the document on the Framework of Food Safety Emergency Response IFSER) System.
- Further, the Food Safety Commissioners are required to present the incidences and status of food borne illness outbreak in their states/UTs in the last quarter and action taken thereon in the meeting of the Central Advisory Committee under a standing agenda namely “the status of responses to Foodborne illness outbreak”.
