- However, a number of references are being received in this office from senior citizens citing difficulties in getting medicines for chronic disease on monthly basis though the same are prescribed and required for long duration’ Accordingly, in order to ease out difficulties faced by senior citizens, Competent Authority has directed that in a-11 such case of beneficiaries/ ESIC staff/pensioners, prescribed medicines are to be provided by the concerned hospital/dispensary for upto three months in one go, refer attachment for further details.
