- The Reserve Bank of India, vide a notification rationalized the Branch Authorisation Policy for Urban Co-operative Banks wherein it has been decided to grant general permission for branch expansion in the approved area of operation to financially strong UCBs and further simplified the process to reduce the time taken for granting approvals for opening new branches. The instruction shall be applicable with immediate effect. Please refer to the notification for more details.
