In supersession of this Ministry’s Notification No. 2(1)/2017-Pers.I dated 29th October 2020 published in the Gazette of India vide S.O. 4042(E) on 10th November 2020 and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (21 of 2000) read with rule 3 of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information by Public) Rules, 2009, the Central Government hereby authorizes and designates the Group Coordinator(Cyber Law) (being an officer of the Central Government not below the rank of Joint Secretary), in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, Electronics Niketan, 6 Central Government Offices Complex, New Delhi – 110003, as the Designated Officer for the purpose of the said rules, refer attachment for further details.
