- The Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies, vide an order, updated the special commodity levy for certain items listed in the schedule, including Maize, Black gram, Green gram, Cowpeas, and Kurakkan. Importation of these items will only be allowed with the Ministry of Agriculture’s recommendation. The extra ordinary gazette notification No.2321/76 dated 4th March, 2023 is hereby rescinded with effect from 20th February, 2024. This order shall be valid till 31st December 2024 commencing from 20th February 2024. Please refer the notification for more details.
