- All the hospitals, hotels, resorts and automobile service centres in the state are hereby directed to install a treated water storage tank (TWST) with a minimum capacity of 10KL to store the treated water from the ETP/STP by October 15, 2023. The tanks may be installed wither over ground or underground. There should not be bypass system of the ETP and treated water should be routed mandatorily into the TWST from which the Board shall collect samples for verification of compliance and examine the adequacy of the ETP. All the units must install flow meter at the discharge line from the TWST and records must be maintained accordingly.
- Failing to comply with above condition shall attract a minimum environmental compensation fine of Rs. 5000/- per day w.e.f 02 October 2023, please refer Public notice for more details.
